Who We Are
Supporting and Sustaining Mental Health and Recovery
PSALT Care (pronounced ‘Salt-care’), an Institution of Public Character (IPC) Charity, was established in 2014 to meet the service gap in community-based mental health and recovery programmes in Singapore.
As the pioneering organisation championing peer-facilitated support groups, we have spearheaded the provision of services “for peers, by peers” supporting mental well-being and mental health recovery.
We run over 35 peer support groups, recovery activities and workshops each month to help those facing mental health conditions and their loved ones, thereby playing a key role along with other partners towards building a mentally resilient Singapore society.

Our Key Focus Areas
Peer Support
We harness lived experiences of PSALT Care members and peers to promote healing and recovery. This shared experience creates a sense of community and belonging, a deeper understanding and empathy, and reduces feelings of isolation and alienation.
Advocacy
We endeavor to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, promote inclusivity and raise awareness through public mental health education, psycho-education talks and workshops and corporate and community collaborations.
Lifeskills
We enhance self-efficacy and competence for sustained recovery through holistic wellness, using the 10 Dimensions of Wellness framework by the Institute of Wellness, as well as other relevant life skills training for effective coping strategies, self-care, stress management, and relapse prevention.
Therapies
We support PSALT Care members and peers through evidence-based therapeutic approaches to enhance self-awareness, foster emotional validation and provide practical tools to navigate personal challenges.
